I suggest we take a walk, following the silence until we find a quiet spot to settle down and rest.

Then, we'll capture that piece of quiet, so we can take with us when we return to the wild, urban jungle.

If you make art, you are an artist.

You don't have to be paid by someone else to "earn" the title.

You don't have to be a master of any craft either.

With "You are an Artist" workshops series, we want to explore all the art forms, until you find one that resonates with you.

#5 Make yourself at home

@Viga Studios, Porto

We explored making a rug out of old T-shirts and bedsheets.

It was cozy and fun and we contributed to the "You are an Artist" official rug. Here's the highlights in a short video:

#6 INTRODUCE YOURSELF

@Atelier Dia Claro, Porto

We explored making poems through a couple's shared library.

We introduced ourselves and dedicated a poem to the city of Porto and our hosts. Check out our bilingual poems!

#7 DRAW WHAT YOU KNOW

@Atelier Dia Claro, Porto

We drew what we know of that sometimes distant concept — what is home — but with our eyes closed.

The end result were works that were more expressive and abstract than their versions created with open eyes.

And also reflections on whether home lies inside or outside of buildings (or of ourselves).
